We Sing to the Same Sky by Susan H. Bowker
We sing to the same sky,
We stand on the same earth,
Thirst for water and long for love.
We wander our own path,
Set course by the same stars,
Find the center where we are
and seek the same understanding.
Our melody has no borders,
Our rhythm fills the air,
Our harmonies blend together,
To speak the music’s prayer.
Our song speaks every language,
Our song knows every tongue,
A million different voices,
A unison of one.
Knowing the words,
trusting the song,
Full-voiced and together as one
Yet, we are one in song.
